Due to numerous outages of service and constant, inexcusable problems with our former hosting company, I decided my best option was to rename and move the site to a more reputable and dependable hosting company.  Since August of 2008, I have been unable to even access the site (when it was up) to make any changes.  Even after nine years of being a loyal customer, they refuse to let me take my old web address along.

So, TheVintageRacer.com will now be known as AmericanRacingHistory.com.  It will also be in something of a new format, offer many new options and be far more interactive than before.  For example, contributors will now be able to directly upload their own articles, photos and statistics without having to know anything about creating web pages. 

This will be quite an undertaking, to say the least.  TheVintageRacer.com has grown to almost 50,000 pages containing tens of thousands of photos, stats, etc., over those last nine years.  I have been the lone Webmaster and have hand coded each and every one of those pages over those years.  We're talking about some serious work here.  I hope to have AmericanRacingHistory.com up and running sometime in early 2009.

I apologize to everyone for the inconvenience.  I’d also like to thank everyone for their support and understanding.
